West Virginia State University Football has experienced unprecedented success in the last three years. The football program has achieved three consecutive winning seasons for the first time since the late 70's. The Yellow Jackets played for a share of the Mountain East Conference title in the final week of the 2019 season after being ranked in the Top 10 of Super Region One for the previous three weeks. They earned a shot at the title by winning seven in-conference games for the first time in school history.
The team posted a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the Spring term of 2020.
