West Virginia State University Baseball won its third Mountain East Conference Championship in the spring of 2021 and advanced to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament for the first time since 2015. The Yellow Jackets finished with a 32-10 overall record and 24-4 conference mark after capturing the MEC South Division title with a tiebreaker over UC. WVSU is nationally ranked at No. 23 in the Collegiate Baseball 2022 Preseason NCAA Division II Poll and is also the highest ranked team in the MEC.
The team posted a 3.2 cumulative GPA for the fall term with 35 (74 percent) of its student-athletes earning a 3.0 GPA or better.
The funds raised through the WVSU Athletics Week of Giving will support:
